It's always summer with Tropical North Queensland with warm temperatures all year round. At times we simply live in our swimwear! Let us share with you some of this season’s new arrivals in Australian swimwear and our favourite prints.

Look One – The Tropical Goddess.

Baku’s newest print Dominica has just hit the stores and is straight to the top of our best sellers list! A personal favourite among the Splish Splash team, the gorgeous palm print on a dark background is so on-trend and looks great on all skin tones.

One of the signature styles at Baku Swimwear is the booster bra, which they do in a bikini as well as a one-piece swimsuit (pictured above) The Booster Bra features moulded underwire cups with removable pads (so it can be worn by A-DD cup sizes) meaning you can decide how much cleavage to show. It also gives you a smooth and rounded bust.

The suit is fully lined with a cross over feature under the bust to create a flattering shape.

Love the print, but not into one-pieces? Shop the full Baku Dominica collection here

Look Two – the Roller Girl.

These cute red shorts from Bond-Eye make for the perfect roller girl outfit. Made in terry towel they can be worn in water or hot-stepping it around town! We have styled it here with the Sunseeker Slouch Shirt in white and a Baku Moulded Triangle Top in Rococco. These shorts are perfect for when you want an outfit that will take you from the beach, straight to town. Short enough to swim in and generally laze around on sand, they are also long enough for the street (and not to mention the bikini line!). Baku’s Triangle Top features moulded cups which provide support whilst giving you a smooth and rounded bust. So go on, channel that inner roller girl.

Pro Tip – the Sunseeker Slouch Shirt looks great tied at the waist. Pair it with your skinnies for a classic look.

Look Three -  The 80’s High Cut

A highwaisted pant has become a firm favourite in swimwear styles, the retro vintage styling is a great way to add curves to your sillohuette by drawing attention to your waist line, plus a lot of brands include powermesh for tummy support. But this season is seeing the rise of the leg line too – think 80’s beach babes, with a cheekier cut to the rear as well. The higher leg line is brilliant for adding length to your legs. This style is going to be seen all over the beaches this summer and looks fab paired with a bralette style top, as seen here with the Piha Straight Up Retro Pant and Bandeau. The Cinnamon colour also gives the suit some serious vintage vibes. The bandeau top features removable pads and straps and is suitable for an A-C cup. This pairing makes for simple classic lines, with a hint of sexy and a lot of curve. This look is sure to be a summer staple.

Pro Tip – the pull over style of the bandeau top makes it perfect for wearing under sheer tops or to provide more coverage under a plunging neck line – layer, layer andlayer.
